Mutual Aid to Hampton Falls Precedes Brush Fire Call

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Seabrook, NH — April 12th — In response to a reported structure fire in Hampton Falls, the Seabrook NH Fire Department arrived to Box 222. The department was sent to a different one-acre brush fire in its district while units were dedicated to that mutual aid incident. In New Hampshire, springtime brings a higher risk of fire because of wind and dry fuels. During these times, departments rely on mutual aid networks to maintain coverage and handle overlapping events.

While communicating with regional colleagues managing the Hampton Falls response, Seabrook personnel sought to limit the brush fire. There were no reported injuries. In order to manage numerous occurrences during times of increased activity, fire officials pointed out that staffing flexibility and regional collaboration are essential.
