Escort Planned Through Conway to Honor Retired Deputy Chief David Wethers
March 9, 2026 — The Conway Fire Department announced that an escort honoring retired Deputy Chief David Wethers will travel through Conway as he is brought home. The escort will depart from the Fryeburg Visitors Center at approximately 1:30 p.m., traveling from Fryeburg into North Conway before arriving at Furber’s Funeral Home. Firefighters and members of the community are expected to line portions of the route to pay their respects to the longtime fire service leader.
