Firefighters with the Bartlett Firefighters Association spent an evening in February focusing on fundamental fireground skills during a hands-on training session. The training emphasized basic hose deployment techniques, including stretching attack lines and properly repacking hose beds for rapid response. Captain Robinson constructed a specialized hose bed training prop to simulate real-world conditions and help firefighters practice efficient hose handling. Throughout the evening, crews completed more than 16 evolutions, reinforcing the importance of repetition and muscle memory in emergency operations.
