Bedford Fire Department Honors Top Responders and Life Members

Bedford, NY — March 1st — In order to install chiefs and officers for 2026, Bedford Fire Department members convened for the department's annual dinner. Newly appointed Chief Shawn Carmody commended departing Chief Graham Glauber for his leadership and community and departmental service during the ceremony. Additionally, Chief Carmody presented the officers that will work alongside him in the upcoming year.


The department's top responders from the previous year and individuals who obtained Life Member status after years of volunteer work were recognized during the evening. In support of the new leadership team, eight former Bedford Fire Department chiefs attended the event. The volunteer fire department has a long-standing custom of holding annual installation dinners to honor leadership, dedication, and ongoing community service.
