Garden City Celebrates Police Commissioner’s 44 Years of Service

Garden City, NY — February 26th — The Garden City Fire Department attended a retirement party to celebrate Police Commissioner Ken Jackson's 44 years of law enforcement service and community leadership.
During the event, Fire Chief Chief Taunton gave Commissioner Jackson a white fire helmet and named him an honorary chief of the department in recognition of his assistance, collaboration, and dedication to public safety in Garden City.
Department officials congratulated Commissioner Jackson for his decades of service and leadership, highlighting the positive working relationship between police and firefighters. The agency also commended the Garden City Police Benevolent Association for involving firefighters in the celebration of the milestone.
