Brockport, NY — February 17th — The Brockport Fire District held training sessions on ice water rescue operations and UTV driver instruction in winter conditions.
During the training, firefighters practiced operating on frozen water and reviewed cold-water emergency procedures. Members also practiced driving and maneuvering UTVs in snow to enhance response times in tough terrain.
The Brockport Police Department Drone Unit provided support for the training, capturing aerial videos and photographs of the practice. Officials stated that the drone crew must log a certain amount of monthly flying hours, making cooperative training opportunities helpful to both organizations while improving coordination during emergency responses.
