The Millerton Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad (MVFDRS) commemorated International Women's Day by celebrating women who work in the fire department and throughout the community.

Department officials praised women's passion and commitment to firefighting, emergency medical services, and other positions that assist safeguard and maintain their communities. They emphasized that women's contributions to public safety continue to play a vital role in improving emergency response and community service.

The department also extended its recognition to women outside the fire service, acknowledging their achievements and contributions across many fields and communities.
