Members of the City of Cortland Fire Department spent part of the morning on March 7 at Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) for the 24th Annual Girls Day Out program. The program, conducted in cooperation with TST BOCES P-TECH Academy, drew kids from around the region.

The yearly event promotes gender equality while also commemorating women's achievements in a variety of fields. Fire department members took part in activities and talks that introduced kids to careers in the fire service and public safety.
