Fire Service History Celebrated in Chestertown

Chestertown, NY — February 9th —Members of the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Department, Chestertown Fire District, and Chestertown Fire Ladies Auxiliary attended the Fireman's Museum opening, which was hosted by the Historical Society of the Town of Chester. The event celebrated the Chestertown Fire Company's rich heritage and honored the firefighters and community members who have served the district over the years.

During the reception, Fire Chief Daren Harvey received a photo album documenting previous occurrences and milestones in the department's history. Officials highlighted that the presentation demonstrated the department's strong commitment to the communities it serves. Several department members and auxiliary members attended the event, which provided an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s history and its continued commitment to protecting the community.
