Arkport, NY — February 24th —The Arkport Hose Company No. 1, Inc. conducted a Tuesday night practice focusing on fire police operations and scene setup. The training included the processes required to properly secure an emergency scene, such as the right placement of apparatus, cones, and warning devices to safeguard firefighters and the general public. During the training, the department also put 44 new turbo flares in operation. Members constructed the equipment and discussed how the flares will be used to improve visibility and traffic control during emergency situations.
