Schenectady, NY — February 17th — The City of Schenectady Fire Department acknowledged Brian J. Whipple's swearing-in as the new Chief of Police for the Schenectady Police Department. Gary McCarthy swore in Chief Whipple, who has served with the department for 17 years. Fire officials complimented Chief Whipple and expressed their desire to continue the great working relationship between the police and fire departments in serving the City of Schenectady.
