During a department drill on February 16, members of the Beukendaal Fire Department trained in ice rescue. Firefighters went over procedures for operating safely on frozen water and performed rescue techniques used in winter emergencies. Officers led the training, which focused on hands-on learning and let participants to practice scenarios and evaluate equipment utilized in ice rescue missions.
