Rockland County, NY — February 27th —  The Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services praised firefighter recruits who continued training at the Rockland County Fire Training Center despite sub-zero temperatures.

During the weekend session, temperatures dipped to around -5 degrees as recruits participated in hands-on evolutions such as turnout gear drills and hose line stretching inside training structures. Despite the terrible weather, participants completed each workout while remaining safe and cooperative.
