On February 28, the Brewster Fire Department gathered local veterans and others of the Brewster community to commemorate the life of Past Chief Louis Gasparini. Gasparini was a long-time department member and a Korean War veteran.

He was well-known for his dedication to the fire department and his town, and he was also a long-time usher at Saint Lawrence O'Toole Church. Firefighters and community members came together to honor his years of service and the lasting impact he had on those around him. According to department authorities, Gasparini's leadership, dedication, and good attitude will be remembered by the Brewster Fire Department and the community he served.
