Beacon Assistant Chief Lahey Honored for 51 Years of Service

BEACON, NY — February 18th — Beacon Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3490 honored Assistant Chief Lahey (33-2) for 51 years of active service in the fire service, including 27 years as chief officer.


Assistant Chief Lahey began his firefighting career in 1975 and has held many leadership positions within the department, including Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief, and Chief of the Department.


Department personnel remarked that Lahey's dedication has remained consistent over decades of service, responding to events at all hours and continuing to support operations on the fireground and in command positions.
