FINDLEY LAKE, NY — February 18th —The Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department acknowledged Murphy Mulkearn for his devotion and service over the winter season.

Mulkearn's accomplishments were acknowledged by department personnel both on and off the scene of an emergency. In addition to responding to emergencies and operating the ambulance, he has helped with station care, such as repainting the firehouse basement floor and maintaining department equipment.

Officials said volunteers like Mulkearn play a crucial part in keeping operations operating smoothly while also helping other members and the community. His eagerness to assist wherever possible has had a significant impact on the department during a busy winter season.
