— February 17th — The Kendall Fire Department reported the death of Bonnie Gekoski, a Life Member who had served the department for over 25 years.

Gekoski was remembered by department personnel and the community as a dedicated volunteer and caring presence both at the fire station and throughout her professional career. She has also worked as a home health care aide, a licensed nursing assistant at the former Lakeside Beikirch Nursing Home in Brockport, and a cafeteria helper at Holley High School.

On February 21st, family and friends met at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home in Holley to honor her life. Calling hours were held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Department members extended their condolences to Gekoski’s family and honored her years of service to the Kendall Fire Department.
