On February 10th, members of the Brewerton Fire Department performed ice rescue training at Oneida Shores in preparation for any cold-water incidents during the winter months. During the evening rehearsal, firefighters tested tactics for reaching and removing people who had fallen through ice. Crews used specialized rescue equipment and practiced coordinated team operations required for safe and effective ice rescues.
