On January 9th, Alton Fire Department members conducted routine ice rescue training on a local lake as part of their winter preparedness operations. Firefighters and EMS personnel rehearsed cold-water and ice response procedures for seasonal situations. The training covered responder safety, equipment use, victim access, and coordinated shoreline operations.
