January 11, 2026 — Firefighters with Salisbury Firefighters Local 4694 participated in water-familiarization training, focusing on safe and effective operations while fully equipped in the water.
The hands-on training was led by Marine Tactical Training and included firefighters from multiple local departments. Crews practiced movement, buoyancy control, and equipment use while submerged, strengthening their ability to operate during water and marine emergencies.
The session also emphasized interagency coordination and communication, reinforcing partnerships that are critical during real-world incidents. Manchester Harbormasters hosted the training, providing the facility and support necessary for the exercise.
