During a two-alarm fire on Bowers St., January 18th, the Jersey City Fire Department set up two command boards. One is assigned to manage fire ground operations with Deputy 1 and his aide. The other is designated to assist in safety operations and accountability with the Safety Battalion or his designated captain assigned for the tour. The fire involved a large dwelling with some extension into a nearby church.
