LITTLE BIG GUYS

In last month’s Apparatus of the Month column, Pine Beach’s apparatus was featured, minus their newest vehicle. It is featured here and is E-3891, a 2023 Ford F-550XL, 4x4/E-ONE, MV-8 mini pumper. It replaced a full-size pumper and although it is classified as a “mini”, it has a Hale DSD 1250-gpm pump. Other features and equipment include a Power Stroke diesel engine, five-seat cab, UPF 300-gallon water tank, two crosslays, TFT Crossfire deck gun, wheel well sleeves, ROM roll-up doors, hand tools and “irons”, SCBA, a smoke ejector, FLIR camera, tools box, speedy dry, a chainsaw, stream lights, Whelen Pioneer scene lighting and an AED.
