In 1925, the town of Gilsum purchased its first piece of motorized fire apparatus, a Dodge/Graham Brothers/Howe 300-GPM pumper. It carried just 100-gallons of water. The town's firefighters have done an amazing job maintaining this piece of history for parades and special events.
