TEREX &  REV GROUP MERGE; MORRIS & BURLINGTON COUNTY RIGS

 

    Terex and the REV Group have announced a strategic merger creating a leading specialty equipment manufacturer. From the emergency vehicle end REV consists of E-ONE, Spartan Emergency Response, Ferrara, LadderTower Company (LTC), Smeal and KME fire apparatus plus from the ambulance line, Horton, American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), Wheeled Coach and Road Rescue. The particulars of TEREX products and other fields of operation would consume too much room for what this column is allowed so we refer you to the TEREX website for further information.

    The photos featured this month from Morris County include a Rosenbauer Commander Cobra 101 foot rear mount platform quint for the Mt. Hope Fire Company in Rockaway Township. Next is from Jefferson Township a Pierce Enforcer mid mount Ascendant platform quint from Milton (Fire Co. 1) and from Fire Company 2, Utility 712, a Ford/Reading AeroTech pulling a 21 foot Bentley pontoon boat and a Pierce Enforcer 107 foot quint. We then turn to Burlington County to feature from New Gretna in Bass River Township an E-ONE Typhoon e-MAX pumper, a Kenworth T-800/S & S pumper/tanker and from Willingboro a Pierce Velocity 100 foot Ascendant mid mount platform.

    In apparatus news, Cape May Courthouse in Middle Township (Cape May County) has ordered a Rosenbauer Commander pumper/tanker with 2000 gpm pump and 2500 gallon water tank. This will be their third Rosenbauer Defender Emergency Products has also delivered the first five Medix Type III ambulances to the RWJ Health System. It is part of a 12 unit order. They are also remounting two Medix ambulances through the Defender Emergency Products Sales & Service at the Medix remount facility.

    The South Essex FD (Essex County) has ordered an E-ONE Typhoon 2000/780 pumper.

    Blaze Emergency Equipment has delivered the Sutphen top mount pumper to Manchester Township FD (Ocean County.) It has a six seat cab, Hale 1500 gpm pump and 1000 gallon water tank.

    Campbell Supply Co., LLC has delivered two Spartan ER pumpers to Monmouth County. The first is to East Freehold and is a Gladiator Star pumper. It has an LFD chassis, 10 inch raised roof cab, Cummins L9, 400 hp diesel engine, Waterous CSU 2000 gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank. The second is to the Monmouth County Fire Academy and is a Metro Star, Star pumper with LFD chassis, 10 inch raised roof cab, Cummins L9, 400 hp diesel engine, Waterous CSU 2,000 gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank. Wanaque (Passaic County) will have their pumper and pumper/tanker delivered before the end of the month as well as the Woodbridge Township pumper, (Middlesex County.) Also in Middlesex County, the Edison Division of Fire has ordered a Spartan ER, Star heavy rescue with Metro Star EMFD chassis, and 10 inch raised roof cab, Cummins L10, 450 hp diesel engine, non-walk-in body and Harrison 15 kw generator.

    Fire & Safety Services reports the following Pierce orders: for Ewing Township (Mercer County) an Enforcer 107 foot Ascendant aerial and for the Holmes Marshall FC in Piscataway Township (Middlesex County) an Enforcer 55 foot Skyboom. Pierce deliveries include to the Woodbridge Township District 4 (Keasbey) a min pumper on a Ford F-550 chassis, to Franklin Township (Gloucester County) Fire District 1 (Franklinville) an Enforcer mid mount tower and to the Town of Clinton (Hunterdon County) an Enforcer pumper. The City of Elizabeth (Union County) received a Skeeter high water rescue truck.

    New Jersey Emergency Vehicles has delivered two P.L. Custom Medallion 170 Type III ambulances to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department. They are on Ford E-450 chassis.
