2nd GENERATION SEAGAVE FOR ROBBINSVILLE SQUAD

 

    In Mercer County, the Robbinsville Township (formerly Washington Township) Fire Department has placed in service a new Seagrave rescue pumper for Squad 40, replacing a 2014 Seagrave rescue pumper. Specs for the new vehicle include a Marauder II chassis, Cummins L9, 450 hp diesel engine, Waterous CSU 1500 gpm pump, UPF 750 gallon water tank, Akron Class “B” foam system with 30 gallon tank, six-inch front intake, 2 ½-inch front bumper discharge (foam and trashline), Elkhart Stinger deck gun, Warn portable six-ton winch with three receivers, ROM roll up compartments doors, rear access ladder, separate enclosed ladder and stokes stretcher compartments, Harrison 15 kw generator and Whelen scene lighting. They also have on order a Kenworth/Fouts , 3,000 gallon tanker.

    Other photos this month include two Ferrara Cinder pumpers for the North Hudson Regional Fire Rescue (Engine 3 and Squad 10), a Sutphen pumper on a Monarch chassis for the Brevent Park FC in Middletown Township, in Monmouth County, in Middlesex County two Woodbridge Township pumpers (a Spartan ER Metro Star pumper for the main station and an E-ONE Typhoon pumper for the Fords FC), and a new Ford/P.L Custom Medallion Type III ambulance for the Rahway Emergency Squad (Union County.) This squad has many P.L. Custom ambulances.

    In dealer news, First Priority Group has announced that they are transitioning remount and EMS operations from Manchester Township to a new purpose built 75,000 square foot state of the art production facility in Lakewood (Ocean County.) They expect it to be completed in June. They have been in Manchester since 2006 and prior to that they started in 1998. For more information go to 1fpg.com.

    In apparatus news, Pennsauken FD (Camden County) Division of EMS has received a Horton 523 Type III ambulance on a Ford E-450 chassis sold by VCI Emergency Vehicle Specialists.

    Defender Emergency products received an order form Middlebush in Franklin Township (Somerset County) for a Rosenbauer Viper 78 foot rear mount. It will have a Commander chassis 2000 gpm pump and 400 gallon water tank.

    Campbell Supply Co., LLC has received two orders in Ocean County. One is for Waretown in Ocean Township for a Smeal pumper on a Spartan Metro Star chassis and the other is for Pioneer Hose in Brick Township for a Spartan ER Star pumper on a Metro Star chassis and top mount pump panel.

    East Windsor FC 1 (Mercer County) has received an E-ONE eMax pumper. Also Madison Park in Old Bridge Township (Middlesex County) received an E-ONE Typhoon 2000/500/ 75 foot quint. The Jackson Mills FC in Jackson Town ship (Ocean County has ordered an E-ONE Typhoon pumper. Specs include a 74 inch cab with 12 inch vista roof, six seats, Hale Qmax 2000 gpm pump, 1000 gallon water and 30 gallon foam tanks, center mounted ladder tunnel and Cummins X10, 450 hp diesel engine. 

    Mercer County has purchased a 2024 Kenworth T-480/Fouts tanker for Hopewell Fire District 1. This is an alliance between Hopewell Valley, Emergency Services, Union Fire Company, Pennington Fire Company and Hopewell Borough.  The purpose is to add a fourth tanker to the county.
