APPARATUS FROM MORRIS COUNTY

 

This month we go a little further north to Morris County. The county seat is Morristown where George Washington’s headquarters had been. In the photos featured this month is a Pierce tractor-drawn aerial from Morristown and three apparatus from Morris Township. They are two E-ONE 75-foot quints. One is new and the other rebuilt. The third is an E-ONE pumper refurbed by Brindlee Mountain. Adding to these is a Spartan ER Star pumper with an attractive paint scheme from Randolph Township (Shongum Mountain), a Hahn pumper from Jefferson Township FC 1 which they refer to as their antique, and finally Tanker A-29 of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. This Type 4 vehicle has an updated chassis. You may notice a different red paint shade between the body and chassis. It’s coverage area includes Morris County.


In apparatus news, in Toms River Township (Ocean County) a transfer was made of Ocean Beach FC’s 2000 ALF Eagle quint to the Pleasant Plains FC. It has a 2000-gpm pump, 400-gallon water tank and 75-foot LTI aerial. Ocean Beach received a Pierce quint recently.


Campbell Supply Co., LLC is prepping two Spartan ER pumpers for Bergen County. Both have Metro Star chassis. One is for Upper Saddle River and has an EMFD chassis, five-inch raised roof cab, Waterous CSU 1500-gpm pump and 950-gallon water tank. The second is for Fairview and has a 10-inch raised roof cab, Waterous CMU 1500-gpm pump and 500-gallon water tank. The have the following Spartan ER orders: for Rahway, (Union County), an Extreme Duty pumper on a Metro Star MFD chassis. It will have a 10-inch raised roof cab, Waterous CMU two-stage 1500-gpm pump and 750-gallon water tank. Next is for the Port Reading FD in Woodbridge Township (Middlesex County) and is a Star pumper with Metro Star LFD chassis, 10-inch raised roof cab, Hale Qmax 2000-gpm pump, 1000-gallon water and 50-gallon foam tanks. Next is for Freehold FD (Monmouth County) and is for a Star pumper with Metro Star LFD chassis, 10-inch raised roof cab, Waterous CSU 2000-gpm pump and 750-gallon water tank and finally for the New Milford FD (Bergen County) and is a Star pumper with Metro Star LFD chassis, 10-inch raised roof cab, Waterous CSU 1500-gpm pump and 500-gallon water tank.


The Madison Park FC in Old Bridge Township (Middlesex County) has ordered an E-ONE Typhoon HP-75 foot quint with 2000-gpm pump and 500-gallon water tank.


Bradley Beach (Monmouth County) has purchased a 2001 Sutphen Monarch 2000/750/30 pumper from the Broughton FC in Allegheny County, PA.


Firefighter 1 has delivered the Fouts FOUR quick attack to Buena Borough in Atlantic County. Specs include a Ford F-550 4x4 chassis, 4 door cab, 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine, with Ford 10 speed transmission, 12,000 pound Warn winch with F550 grill guard, Hale DSD 1500-gpm midship pump, Hale SmartFoam 2.1A Class “A” injection foam system, 300-gallon poly water tank, 15 gallon foam cell, Fouts all-aluminum body, Amdor roll-up doors, Whelen scene lights and Whelen Pioneer PFH1 LED telescopic lights. They have received an order from the Budd Lake FD in Mt. Olive Township (Morris County) for a Ferrara Inferno 2500-gallon pumper/tanker. Specs include a custom chassis, Cummins X-15, NG 565 hp diesel engine, 54-inch medium four-door cab with eight inch raised roof, six seats (five with SCBA), Waterous CSU 1500-gpm pump, Waterous Eclipse 200 CFM compressed air foam system, 2500-gallon poly water tank,40-gallon foam cell, extruded aluminum body, 10-inch round dumps left, right and rear, hydraulic portable tank rack on left side and hydraulic ladder rack on right side.


The Squankum FC in Howell Township (Monmouth County) received their new Rosenbauer Cobra 100-foot vertical reach platform on a Commander chassis. It has a Waterous 2000-gpm pump and 400-gallon water tank. It has a hot dipped galvanized frame and ladder. It was sold by Defender Emergency Products.


Fire & Safety Services reports the following Pierce deliveries; all are to Elizabeth in Union County. An Arrow XT Special Operations walk-in HDR, an Arrow XT R2, UASI walk-in HDR and a Freightliner M2, TAC MDR. Pierce orders include for Evesham Fire District 1 (Burlington County) an Enforcer pumper, for Linden (Union County) a Saber pumper, for Hawthorne (Passaic County) an Enforcer walk-in HDR, for the Heislerville FC in Maurice River Township (Cumberland County) an Enforcer tanker and for Lebanon Township (Hunterdon County) an Enforcer pumper.
