On July 4, 2026, at 6 a.m., Firefighter/Paramedic Kyle Yoder finished his shift during which he responded to seven emergency calls including a motor vehicle accident around 1 a.m. After his shift, Firefighter/Paramedic Yoder left the fire station. He then returned to the fire station around 9:00 a.m. A short time later, an ambulance crew returning to the fire station found Firefighter/Paramedic Yoder collapsed on the ground. The ambulance crew administered CPR and transported Firefighter/Paramedic Yoder to a local hospital where, despite all efforts, he was pronounced deceased.
