On March 8, 2026, while preparing to leave his house in response to a motor vehicle accident, Fire Police Officer Todd Koch suffered a medical emergency. He was found unresponsive at his home shortly thereafter by his brother. EMS responded and administered lifesaving measures to Fire Police Officer Koch. Fire Police Officer Koch was then transported to a local hospital where, despite all efforts, he passed away on March 11, 2026. The cause of death was reported to be a cardiovascular event.
