On February 22, 2025, at 7:33 a.m., Deputy Chief Alexander Trenier responded to a residential fire call. After returning to the station, Deputy Chief Trenier reported that he was not feeling well and turned duties over to another chief. He then went home sick. On February 23, 2025, family was unable to reach Deputy Chief Trenier by phone. When the family went to his house to check on him, they found Deputy Chief Trenier deceased.
