Fire Inspector Aaron Wescott was working a 24-hour shift and responded to a medical emergency around 1:03 a.m. on Feb 15, 2026. Fire Inspector Wescott returned from the call and went back to his sleeping quarters. When he did not show up for roll call, fellow crew members checked on Fire Inspector Wescott in his dormitory room and found him unresponsive. Although lifesaving measures were performed, Fire Inspector Wescott was pronounced deceased at the station from a cardiovascular event.
