While responding in his personal vehicle to an emergency call of a motor vehicle accident, Firefighter Charles Shaw was involved in a vehicle accident and sustained injuries. Five days later, Firefighter Shaw collapsed and passed away at home. An autopsy determined that Firefighter Shaw’s death was related to the injuries he sustained in the vehicle accident. In addition to being an active volunteer firefighter for Taylor County Fire Department, Firefighter Shaw was retired from serving many years as the Chief of Campbellsville-Taylor County Rescue.
