During the second week of December, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire celebrated the completion of Recruit Class 135's training with the customary Red Shirt Burn ceremony. Before receiving their official blue Pittsburgh Fire jerseys, the 20 candidates trained for 26 weeks while wearing red recruit shirts. The event marked the recruits' shift to full operational status and their completion of the training program. Class 135 will graduate on December 19, 2025. The department recognized the commitment and effort shown by the recruits throughout the training process as they prepare to begin their careers serving the City of Pittsburgh.
