Frenchtown, Montana — 2nd December — Using a burn building built from converted shipping containers, the Department Frenchtown Rural Fire District, located at 16875 Marion St., Frenchtown, MT, United States, Montana, finished its last live fire training of the season. The building is made to survive numerous fire ignitions and suppression while resembling a residential interior.

One group moved around fifty feet into the building throughout the evolution, negotiating furniture and other impediments to put out a controlled fire with pallets and leftover lumber. Search activities and the removal of simulated victims were carried out by a second crew. To reduce visibility, more smoke was produced. Firefighters can practice hose management, communication, fire control, and search procedures in a controlled environment through live fire training.
