Members of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company were called to a single-car motor vehicle collision with a utility pole on Route 115 at Blakeslee Corners at around 2:40 p.m. on December 22. The driver was reportedly wounded. 41-Utility-3 from the Blakeslee station, 41-Rescue-2, and 41-Utility-2 from the Pocono Pines station were among the units that responded. As workers dealt with traffic management and debris removal, Station 41 EMTs arrived and gave the injured motorist medical attention and assessment. There was a prolonged power outage in the neighborhood as a result of the collision, which brought down transformers and power cables. For just more than an hour, Station 41 was in operation. PPL Electric Utilities, Frontier Communications, J&J Towing, Pocono Mountain Regional Emergency Medical Services, and Pocono Mountain Regional Police were among the supporting organizations.
