Tobyhanna Fire Company Honors Medical Director Ahead of Retirement

As Peter Favini, MD of St. Luke's University Health Network, got ready for a well-earned retirement, members of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company acknowledged and thanked him.

As the department's Medical Director for almost 25 years, Dr. Favini guided, supervised, and mentored EMTs and firefighters. Through his leadership, knowledge, and availability, he has been instrumental in establishing patient care standards and assisting responders since the beginning of the company's QRS/EMS service. Members of the company observed that Dr. Favini helped train generations of providers while continuously upholding the ideals of devotion, commitment, and quality. As he entered retirement, the department wished him well and conveyed its sincere gratitude for his enduring influence on its members and the community.
