Tobyhanna Township — December 9 — Together with Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company Station 42, members of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company conducted a combined drill night with an emphasis on practical training using Holmatro rescue equipment.
In order to stress correct use, control, and familiarity with the equipment, teams from both departments employed rescue tools in a controlled "Jenga-style" exercise. Members were able to practice handling tools while focusing on precision, coordination, and communication. For many years, Stations 41 and 42 have collaborated on training, which has strengthened their cooperation in emergency situations. Regular joint training, according to officers, guarantee that personnel continue to feel at ease working together on rescue sites.
