Engine 143 Build Advances as Pump House Takes Shape

December 22, 2025 — Hughestown Emergency Services

Construction of Hughestown Emergency Services’ new Engine 143 continues to move forward, with officials sharing updated progress photos highlighting the newly completed pump house section of the apparatus. The pump house, a critical component of the engine, will house the pumping system that supplies water during fire suppression and emergency operations.

Department officials noted that the build remains on schedule, with additional components and equipment set to be installed in the coming weeks as the apparatus nears completion. Once finished, Engine 143 is expected to enhance operational capabilities and improve response efficiency for emergencies throughout Hughestown Borough and surrounding communities.

Members expressed appreciation for the continued support from residents as they await the delivery and final outfitting of the new engine.
