Hazleton City Fire crews were dispatched at approximately 2:13 p.m. on November 22, 2025, to reports of multiple vehicles on fire at 43 North Conahan Drive in the City of Hazleton. While en route, responding companies observed a large column of black smoke visible from a distance, prompting command to place an additional engine company into service prior to arrival.

Upon reaching the scene, firefighters found five tractor-trailers actively involved in fire. Crews immediately deployed three handlines and placed a deck gun from Engine 2 into operation to control the rapidly spreading flames. As suppression efforts progressed, two of the three handlines were transitioned to foam operations to effectively combat the fuel-intensive fire conditions involving the tractor units.

Units operating at the scene included Engine 2, Engine 3, Engine 4, Ladder 1, Tower 1, Utility 6, Command units C-1 and C-2, along with the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and DEP Emergency Response personnel. Group 4 served as Officer in Charge during the incident. Firefighters worked diligently to prevent further extension and to protect surrounding property, successfully bringing the incident under control.

According to preliminary findings from security video footage, the fire is believed to have originated accidentally in a white Kenworth tractor, second from the left, before spreading to the remaining vehicles. No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation by fire officials and supporting agencies.
