PLYMOUTH — The holiday season officially got underway in Plymouth on the morning of Nov. 23 as local fire companies teamed up with community partners to bring festive cheer to Main Street.
Members of Good Will Hose Co. #2, Elm Hill Hose Co. #3, and Plymouth Fire Co. #1, along with the Plymouth Rescue Unit and Ambulance, assisted the Rotary Club of Plymouth in hanging Christmas lights along the borough’s main thoroughfare.
Using fire apparatus and ladders, crews worked safely and efficiently to decorate utility poles, transforming Main Street into a bright and welcoming corridor ahead of the busy holiday season. The effort, dubbed “Deck the Poles,” marked the first visible sign of the borough’s Christmas celebrations.
Fire company members emphasized that the event highlights the strong cooperation between emergency services, civic organizations, and volunteers, all working together to support the community. Residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy the festive display throughout the holiday season.
