Just before 4:00 a.m. on December 19, Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company units were sent out in response to a report of a tree falling on an occupied building. The incident was reported to stations 227, 223, and 222.
When Rescue 227 arrived, they verified that every resident had left the house safely and was unharmed. A moderate-sized tree that was sitting on the house caused some interior damage and roof damage, according to the crews. There was no structural compromise found. To ensure the house was secure, firefighters guarded the area and collaborated with other units. 227CHF was in charge of the incident.
