Willingboro, N.J. — 26th November — The Willingboro Fire Department arrived at Millennium Square in response to a reported carbon monoxide alarm activation. After arriving on the scene, Engine 1612 started looking into the alarm's origin.
In compliance with established carbon monoxide response protocols, firefighters assessed adjacent fuel-burning appliances and monitored the air in the impacted area. In order to guarantee the security of building personnel and residents, crews also assessed ventilation conditions. During the response, things were brought under control and no injuries were reported. Especially during the heating season, carbon monoxide alarms are crucial for the early identification of dangerous situations. To lower the risk of carbon monoxide exposure, the Willingboro Fire Department advises homeowners and property managers to keep operational alarms and have heating equipment evaluated on a regular basis.
