On December 14, at 10:07 a.m., units from Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Inc. and mutual assistance organizations were sent to a garage in the 12-01 box due to a reported wood pile fire. When personnel arrived, they discovered a pile of wood that was aggressively burning, and locals were using a garden hose to contain the fire. After arriving, Rescue Engine 12 divided workers to deal with the situation. The fire was swiftly contained by firefighters, who also verified that there was no extension into the adjacent garage.
