Mastic Beach Fd Handles A 2 Car Mva

Mastic Beach N.Y- On Wednesday December 23rd the Mastic Beach fire department and the Mastic Beach ambulance company was toned out for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Forest Road west and Maywood Drive. The First Chief on the road was 1st assistant Chief was Jeff McGown and on his way to the scene fire-com had radio back to him asking him if he needed a signal 3 time for manpower since he was the only unit on the road and he advised fire-com to hold off on the signal 3 and he would advise when he got 21. On arrival he advised that he had a 2 car mva with one leaking fluids and radioed back to fire-com and recommend a signal 4 and 1 unit to respond. Chief McGown Radioed to Rescue 4 to come down on a signal 4 and when on scene they had one car to secure and they had to put speedy dry down on the fuel leak. No injuries were reported and all units were back in service within 30 minutes.
