November 18, 2025 — The Narrowsburg/Lava Fire Department, along with automatic aid from the Yulan Fire Department and the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Service, was dispatched last night to a reported structure fire on Blind Pond Road.

A total of 37 firefighters responded between the two fire departments, deploying four engines and two tankers to the scene. With a nearby water source established, crews launched an aggressive attack that allowed them to quickly knock down the fire.

The department thanked the Lake Huntington Fire Company and Highland Lake Fire Department for providing standby coverage. Additional assistance was provided by Sullivan County fire investigators, BC #1, and Tusten EMS.
