Monarch Firefighters Clear Hydrants

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

While many in the Northeast U.S. dealt with snow for a couple of days last week, one of the lasting issues for firefighters are hydrants covered in snow. Members of the Monarch Fire Company set out to clear hydrants across Amity Township to ensure adequate water supply in case of a fire. The company has been working on social media to educate residents and encourage them to adopt hydrants near their homes.
