Claryville Fire Mourns Firefighter Mike Ryan

December 15, 2025 — The Claryville Volunteer Fire Department extended its thoughts and prayers to the Phoenicia Fire District and the Ryan family following the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Mike Ryan.
Firefighter Ryan was killed on December 13, 2025, while executing a wildland rescue operation. His death was recognized as a line-of-duty loss.
Claryville officials expressed solidarity with the Phoenicia Fire District and honored Ryan’s service, sacrifice, and dedication to the fire service. He was remembered as a firefighter who gave his life in the line of duty.
