On December 18, Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue achieved a significant milestone when Ambulance 1 passed the New Hampshire Fire Academy and Emergency Medical Services inspection.
The department will formally begin providing emergency ambulance transport for Wolfeboro residents and visitors on January 5, 2026. Voters will be presented with a second phase of the proposal at the Town Meeting in March. Huggins Hospital, the New England EMS Institute (NEEMSI), Stewart's Ambulance Service, Ossipee Valley Mutual Aid, the Wolfeboro Police Department and Central Dispatch, town employees, and policy boards were among the organizations that Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue thanked.
