Ashaway, R.I. — December 15 — Ashaway Volunteer Fire Association members supported several community activities over the course of a busy weekend while remaining prepared for emergencies. Crandall's Field Fireworks, the Matthews Wish Toy Parade, and breakfast with Santa were among the events.

Engine 414 responded to a box alarm assignment within the Hope Valley–Wyoming Fire District in addition to participating in community events. A Hopkinton Police Department cruiser and one of the department's equipment were filled with toys donated by Breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning, demonstrating the community's generosity. The department acknowledged that the community makes these activities possible and thanked locals for their ongoing support and involvement.
