Ellington Fire Responds on Mutual Aid With Area Departments

Ellington, Connecticut — 20th November — The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department, located at 29 Main Street, PO Box 911, responded alongside several area fire departments to provide assistance during a regional incident. Ellington units were dispatched as part of a mutual-aid request to support on-scene operations and staffing needs. Upon arrival, Ellington personnel operated under the incident command system and were assigned duties consistent with the overall action plan. Crews worked with partner agencies to support operations while ensuring adequate coverage remained available within their home district.

No firefighter injuries were reported during the response. Following completion of assigned tasks, Ellington units were released by command and returned to service. Mutual-aid responses continue to strengthen regional cooperation and operational readiness across Tolland County.
