LINDENHURST, NY - During the morning hours of December 15, 2022, the North Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to reports of smoke from a house located at 833 North Delaware Avenue.
Upon the arrival of Chief of Department Kenneth Stallone, he transmitted a working fire for fire in a detached garage to the rear of the dwelling with exposure issues. Upon Engine 1-11-2’s arrival, they established a water supply from the hydrant across the street and began a fire attack via the 2/3 side. Upon the arrival of Lindenhurst Engine 1-6-2, they gained a positive water supply from 1-11-2 and put one line into operation on the 3/4 side. Truck companies performed a primary search inside the residence, leading to all searches being negative.
Mutual aid consisted of Lindenhurst for an engine (1-6-2) and an ambulance (1-6-17), West Babylon for the Rapid Intervention Team (1-9-4), and East Farmingdale for a ladder (1-5-15). A total of three hose lines were stretched, with two going into operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and there were no reported injuries.
